What is BMW ConnectedDrive going to do to improve your daily drives? Connecting your BMW to your smartphone through the BMW ConnectedDrive app allows you to take full advantage of the following feature suites: 

• iDrive: Your in-vehicle infotainment interface consists of a controller, a touch screen, and a touchpad. These provide seamless, lightning-quick access to the entertainment, connectivity, and navigation technologies that you use every day.
• In-Vehicle Apps: You can also use your in-vehicle iDrive interface to take advantage of Yelp, Pandora, Stitcher, Twitter, and more. You can even ask the system to read your Facebook timeline out loud while you drive!
• BMW ConnectedDrive App: When you connect your vehicle to your smartphone with the BMW ConnectedDrive app — known as BMW Connected — you can use the iDrive interface to read emails, view text messages, access contacts, or view your calendar! The app also allows you to take actions through your smartphone, like unlocking your doors remotely or hailing roadside assistance.

BMW ConnectedDrive Updates

BMW ConnectedDrive updates are available over the internet. Here’s how to keep your in-car infotainment system up to date: 

1. Navigate to the BMW accessories update page on your computer.
2. Use the BMW adapter cable to connect your computer to your BMW.
3. Select the appropriate update and download it to your computer.
4. Open the app on your computer and follow on-screen instructions to complete the process.
